All timber frame structures require a complete set of design calculations from a qualified Structural Engineer. Duffy Chartered Engineers Ltd. have specialised in the design of timber frame structures for over a decade. We have a large number of clients who design and manufacture timber frame structures. These clients have a large share of the Irish timber frame market and also manufacture structures for the UK market. The services we are able to provide are summarised below:

1. We provide a design of all structural elements, with the exception of roof trusses, within each timberframe structure.

2. We provide a summary sheet specifying the members designed and the stability requirements for the structure.

3. We also provide a structural design certificate stating that the design is in compliance with structural aspects of the building regulations.

4. We provide an inspection and certification service for the erection of timber frame structures on site.

5. We are approved as designers by NSAI, Homebond and the NHBC and SBSA.
